I bought this Keurig K-Elite a week ago to replace an 11 year old Keurig that was still working fine. I wanted the 12 oz brew option and the larger 75 oz reservoir. The new machine seems to brew as well as the old one, but the construction seems to be inferior. No chrome plastic accents, no chrome metal grate to set the cup on, and the reservoir doesn't lock in as tightly as the old one. There is an overall cheaper feel and appearance. I hope this one lasts half as long as the original.
I recently moved into a new apartment and decided to get a new Keurig as well. My old Keurig (the Classic) still worked fine - I ended up giving it to a friend - which then gave me even more reason to upgrade, and I’m so glad I did! As far as features go, the added “Strong” button makes all the difference in the world! You can smell the aroma of the coffee like you are standing in line at a coffee shop, and I love the option for Iced Coffee as well! I honestly didn’t think there’d be much difference in the taste, but you have to believe me when I say there is! I also love that you can set the Keurig to turn off and/or on at certain times. I have mine turn off after two hours without use, which I appreciate since the older version did not have this feature. Aesthetically, I’m so glad they came out with the brushed metal options. I went with the silver as there are a lot of silver accents and appliances in my kitchen, and it looks great! Very well done!
Absolutely love the Keurig!!! Had my previous Keurig for 7 years and it was perfect for me. It had all the bells and whistles including the quiet brew feature. When it finally gave up and just would not brew anymore after countless descale attempts it was time to retire it. I searched for the same type and it was not available anywhere. So I began looking at the newer models. Nothing had all the features that I liked with my previous keurig except the commercial version, which was more than I wanted to spend. It was disappointing. I broke down and bought one that came close and gave up the search for the quiet brew technology... my new one brews much quicker and has a strong feature. Cant have it all but im still happy!!!
Our last Keurig machine lasted about two years. We brew two cups of coffee per day here at home and clean our machine once a month. The machine just began to dribble out water and very slow to brew. We decided it was time to get a new one of the same model. Well we’re we disappointed to see this machine seems like it barely has enough pump motor to get the water out. It takes about two minutes for a brew to go thru the cycle before it’s ready for a new brew cycle. Very disappointed. This will be the last Keurig we purchase. There are other manufactures that brew K cups. We may just throw this one out and buy one that has stronger brew strength and less time. These newer machines are no where as good as the older ones.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
