First let me say that this coffee maker makes coffee just fine. It is the features that have been downgraded. The timer on the old K550 coffee maker could be set to turn on and off at specific times. Now you can set a time to turn it on then it cycles itself off at up to 2 hour intervals. Which means we are regularly having to turn it back on. We have an 8 hour period that we want it to stay on. I am sure they did this as an energy saving feature, but they missed the mark. The water reservoir on the K550 had a hatch to fill through. Very nice. This machine makes you remove the entire lid. There is always condensation on the underside of the lid so it drops water on the machine or the counter. very messy.

We’ve only had the Keurig Elite for a hair over 2 weeks and we are pleased. We’ve used every function, except for ice coffee...I will definitely be using it. That’s the reason for 4 stars, I’m sure once I try that feature I will be pleased. Which in turn would make this a 5 star review. If not, I will update review.

Purchased this about 15 months ago and has already stopped working. It automatically turns itself off whenever try to brew something, as if it cannot create enough pressure to push water through the K-cup. Descaling and thorough cleaning did improve function. Similar issue with a previously owned model. I had hoped that a higher end, more expensive model would last longer. I liked the larger water reservoir but found did not use much of special features for ice tea, etc.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've had two Keurig Select systems that have only lasted abput four months each! From the moment they came out of the box, I knew they were CHEAP and would die...and they did. Each within four months, and we only make two cups of coffee a day and maybe a cup of tea. I upgraded to the Elite and am more than happy with it. It's not as cheaply made and I'm crossing my fingers it lasts more than four months!

I purchased this for my son as a birthday gift. He seems to like it. I recently replaced my Keurig because it started leaking. Unfortunately I purchased a cheaper version and it is "junk". Only holds enough water to brew about 2 1/2 cups. Lesson learned, "Don't buy cheap because you get cheap junk."
