When I made the decision to use the money I had been saving for the purchase of a coffeemaker, the next decision was which coffeemaker? I wanted to go the Keurig route, as it seemed the direction coffeemakers were heading, plus I liked the ease the pods presented in brewing. The only question for me to answer was which Keurig. Since I was saving money for the purchase, there was no need to acquire the least expensive unit; yet, likewise, the most expensive wasn't necessarily what I needed either. Thus I studied them all. I asked whom I could ask. And it was the K-Elite Single Serve which stood out as the choice for my needs. It had the detachable water reservoir I sought. Its look was sleek without being ostentatious. It offered programmable features I have yet to fully delve into. And it brews a darn good cup of coffee. It's not too strong; it's not too weak. It's just right..
I would recommend this to a friend!

Loved it...for a month

I bought this in March. In June it started shutting off in the middle of the cycle plus I would get coffee grounds in my cup. I called and got a replacement. Within a month of receiving that one it started doing the same thing. We have the same model in our office and it now does the same thing. This was an upgrade from my old machine which I loved. I will stay with Keurig but not this model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My First Keurig

Husband bought this for me for Christmas! I wanted the smaller version in Red but he said they were sold out. So, He went the next size up. I have tried the Swissmiss Hot Choc. pod and I was estatic! It was awesome! I tried the other coffee pods..except Green Mountain. He got me the reuseable filter also, which I have tried my Dunckin Donuts Coffee. I love that I can make my favorite ground coffee in it too. My husband still uses the Mr. Coffee Maker, lol, will change his mind in NO TIME! He will realize he can make our Folgers coffee grinds per cup rather than brewing a 12 cup caraf'. We waste most of that. I am so happy so far with my KEURIG K-ELITE SINGLE SERVE COFFEE MAKER!!!!!! Just ordered the Swiss Miss Hot Choc. pods because they said me a code in email . Cant beat that!!!!! Thank you KEURIG!

suddenly stopped working

I love the looks and even the function of this coffee maker up until it suddenly just stopped working, after only 3 months of use! I have purchased a number of Keurig coffee makers for my own use, as well as gifts for our children for Christmas. I'm very disappointed that this one stopped working so quickly. Maybe it is just a lemon. I don't know. My husband and I have gone over every step of our use of this coffee maker and can't find anything we could have done wrong to cause the problem.
