Buyer beware. The unit worked great for the first few weeks. One day I turned it on and started having communication errors and very long boot times. I attempted to work with support to resolve this issue but after two weeks no progress has been made.

I got my printer, and in 8 days, I had 10 of 15 attempts print successfully - NONE of my attempts used unusual print settings. On day 8, while printing a gcode file that I had successfully used twice before, the printer raised the bed into the nozzle and destroyed the bed plate.
I have reached out to Creality support multiple times about this issue, and they have completely ghosted me each time.
Do not buy this printer. Yes, it's possible to have a positive experience with it, but it is not worth the risk.

Do not buy this machine.
Mine failed about a month after i got it. Just rebooted during a print and went to the language selection screen, produced an error and won't do anything. I've been waiting over a week to hear back from support, so when I got an automatic email asking for a review I was a little mad.
When it works, it sometimes produces really nice prints, sometimes makes garbage. Frequently, it decides you're actually printing in a different material and changes so that it's printing at a different speed and temperature from what the gcode says. The failure detection misses more failures than it detects, and also generates false positives constantly. The gear path likes to clog up if you try to push filament anywhere near the advertised rate. If you see an error and manually cancel the print, it often just keeps printing. On large prints with a failure on the first layer, I've hit 'stop' and it's tried to print the entire rest of the layer. The whole thing is pretty poorly planned and executed, feels rushed and incomplete.
I understand these folks had a good reputation with the ender series, and that support can be busy, but i've had nothing but a bad experience and will probably never buy anything from them again.

I was really excited to receive my k1 max today. Everything was packaged really well and I watched all the instructionally videos I could find so I could start printing as soon as possible. I would recommend attaching the rubber piece to the screw before trying to attach the door handle. Also note there is a piece of Styrofoam under the print bed. I did the whole setup process BUT when it got to the self test it gave me errors. When I went to report the error it said I had to bind my printer although I had already done that. I've tried this 3x now. I shut down and unplugged and tried and have gotten the same issue. The extruder seems to be making a jammed when it tries moving. I was really hoping I'd get a printer that worked right out of the box. I'm now getting 2 different error codes and it's stuck at input shaping(. I've spent 2 and a half hours messing with it trying to get it to do something... Anything... The printer shows offline in the app. I scanned the QR code and selected it as a k1 max. Each time it starts it makes noise like the extruder should be traveling but quickly stops and sits in the input shaping stage. I even took the bottom off and made sure everything was secured correctly. I'm pretty bummed. Today was supposed to be the day I replaced my ender 3. If I get it working I'll write a different review on how it prints. As for now I guess I'll wait for support. Hopefully I don't have to wait again for replacement parts. I'm so tired of manual bed leveling!!!

I really wanted to like this printer. Bought it as soon as it launched earlier in the month. I got a few days of amazing prints out of it and was happy until one day it just decided to dig the nozzle into the print bed with no warning during its auto leveling process. Now there are multiple holes in the bed and the nozzle seems to be having issue (as seen in the picture with the benchy), I have contacted Creality but no response yet. Such a shame since this printer showed SO much promise in the first few days, now it's essentially unusable. Will update review if Creality finally reaches out to address these defects I've encountered. Until then, avoid K1 Max for the time being.

Recieved defective. I think it's the motherboard. The startup calibration does not complete and issues multiple errors (see photos). I opened the bottom panel and saw the motherboard cooling fan is mounted very close to the MOBO and looks like they smashed together and both recieved some damage. Disappointed. Creality has not helped me yet after several days. Think twice before buying. I'll update my review if Creality resolves this and makes me whole.

A HUGE let down and dont waste your money. Claims to print out of the box easy set up. THis is not true at all. After waiting for a long time to be able to order I received my K1Max with high hopes. Ive been 3D printing for nearly 25 years and was very excited at the advancments they claim to have.
What a let down it will not print digges its nozzle into the build bed on the first print. settings for z offset can not be changed as it is hard coded into the machine and not able to be set manuallly to avoid this error. THE AUTO CALABRATE TAKES NEARLY 30 MIN TO COMPLETE.
When a print starts its a complete failure some parts are dug into the bed others are printing in space. the bed mesh is clearly off but no way to see how since this is not any where to be seen.
Noisy is an understatment sounding like an old tractor. fans are so loud too,
So I have not been able to even get a single print to start and there slicer is a complete joke hard to use and not user friendly at all.
There profiles wont print and seem to have never been tested at all
My conclusion on this printer is DONT BUY IT! bosting about how great it works only to have it not. its a printer that was rushed to market not tested non working deceptive claimes and not user friendly printer. I would not waste your money on this printer it is a poorly designed clone.
