Too Complicated to Use

I was used to my Garmin 6 that unfortunately couldn't be repaired so I'm trying the Approach Z82. I thought this would have the features of the G6 with the addition of laser functionality, but It is way too difficult to operate. I'm constantly hitting wrong button and then have to page back through menu and option pages to get back. Doesn't switch easily from shooting mode to course view mode. It is lightweight and laser locking feature is good. I don't see any benefit to pairing with my phone other than reporting scores and who cares about that. I'm likely to try it a few more times to see if my navigation skills improve, but if not it will be returned. I'm thankful for the 60 day return policy.

Excellent rangefinder

I've had the rangefinder for a year and love it. It shows all the information you need to know for a great approach shot. I like the combination of GPS and laser ranging to give you accurate distances to the pin and surrounding hazards. Wind speed indication is an added bonus

More than Enough

The hole display is fantastic. The hazard locations. The scoring on the app seems a bit much. The green layout for the additional money doesn't seem to add value along with the find my device feature. A magnet would be helpful but certainly not a requirement. The device if used as a normal range finder will last far more than 1 round of golf. Initially I was using on the tee box of a par 5 to view hazards. Now I use it just the same as another other range finder. This stays in standby mode more than anything. Under my current usage I would have just assumed purchasing a battery operated device and not a charging required device. Still no regrets and love the hole display and all the features this product offers.

Love the Added Features over the Z80

I bought this two weeks ago after the connector on my Z80 went bad and I could no longer charge and update it. Adding the buzz feature when it latches onto the flag was a great feature.

Fantastic golf gps

The ability to see a new course or show friends the layout and exact measurements front center and back. Charge was about 12 hrs of use. I have the older version and really can't wait for the new!

Lots of features! Can't use any other rangefinder

I got the Z82 as a gift from my girlfriend for Christmas and I'm extremely pleased after playing 5 rounds of golf. The accuracy of the distances combined with the mini display has really changed how I approach shots. I'm particularly impressed with the auto marking of harazards on the hole.
I wish the battery life was better but no real complaints!
