Bought my Costway A/C a few years ago, and it’s basically turned into an expensive indoor weather lottery. One minute it runs normally, and the next minute—click—it shuts off and won’t restart reliably until I manually intervene. Sometimes it comes back after a short time; other times it just refuses to work, like it’s mad at me for expecting basic climate control.
The cooling is just as inconsistent. I’ll get a glorious (but short lived) stretch of actual-cool air, then it suddenly stops keeping up even when the thermostat is set properly, so it ends up feeling more like a temperamental appliance I manage than real climate control.
If you want an A/C with “dramatic reboots,” a mysterious sense of timing, and a flair for disappearing acts, then sure, this is basically a live-action soap opera.
If you want something that consistently runs like a normal appliance, I would have to recommend a different brand than this one.
This is a Great air-conditioner. It cools fast and not too big to be in the way in small spaces. Not too noisy, just the right amount of white noise to help my child sleep. Great buy.
This is absolute garbage! can't be refunded. only puts humidity in the house, it's loud . my 5000 window btu is 10x time as strong. the real price is 280$ so best buy making fake deal again!!
Not happy, I don't get the good reviews. First of all, It's mini size and very cheap. My 12 year old pick it right up box and all and brought it up a flight of stairs. I mean it works, the room gets kinda cold but not nearly as much as the ones i have in the other bedrooms. Also it says it has an "auto shut off" when the pan is full, so I wasn't happy when my son's floor was flooded after using it for 1 night. Oh yeah and to empty it the valve is situated and the very bottom of the unit so have fun emptying it when they say you can't use it for 24 hours if you tilt it 45°. Lucky for me the water was already everywhere on the floor. I get these were kinda cheap but I find it's really not worth it. Gonna try and return.
