We have this dehumidifier set up in the basement because we had 60%+ humidity down there. Our basement is around 1000sq ft and the humidifier is able to bring the humidity down to 40% easily in a day. However, some days we come home to a great big puddle of water on the floor because the dehumidifier never stopped :). It's happened a handful of times. So for this reason, I really would not recommend that anyone buy this model. 200$ down the drain in my case...

This dehumidifier is marketed as being for 2000 sq ft however it is probably better suited for areas up to 200 sq ft. We had this running in our basement for two weeks (which is around 700 sq ft) and it did not lower the humidity below 60% and barely drew out a tank of water each day.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought this item and it could ran properly for a few months without issues. Later, my room started getting wet even when the tank is not full. No tank break, no leakage from the back but water dripping slowly from underneath. That is bad. We are approaching summer and we have to get a new dehumidifier
